    I didn’t like the trailler at all. It has nothing to do with the historical battle. It’s more a fantasy production, than a production based on real historical events. I think that the regissor had not made any research on the ancient spartans at all. What a pitty that for one more time, holliwood can not manage to make an appropriate production based on greek history. Lets wish them good numbers….. :)

    @ Tassos: The “300″ movie is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller, the creator of Sin City. As Miller already said, his version of the story is loosely based on the actual facts, which noone knows exactly anyway. So you can’t judge this particular movie for its lack of research. It’s a fantasy product and noone claims it’s an actual historical documentary.

    Sugar: Yep, you’re right. I only paid attention to the trailler so my comment also referred only to the trailler.

    What I do not like is the way that the Spartans are presented. They were “famous” for talking as little as possible and for having emotionless faces. What I see at the trailer is a bunch of barbarians who can not shut up! Also the way they dress is ridiculous… wearing helmets but no armour?

    @D your right!

    @D: Okay, I agreee with you on the fact that there are going to be some historical inaccuracies with this movie (do the monster’s weird anyone else out??), but no one is expecting pure history with this. It’s a movie based on a graphic novel based on a historial event. Sure, maybe there are some things that may seem ridiculous (like the lack of battle armor) but Frank Miller has actually done a lot of research to stay true to a lot of things as well. How picky are we going to be here? Also, they’re widening the range of exposure to xenoi of our great history and mythology by even making this movie, so why the complaints? Also, it’s a movie. There needs to be talking, unless of course you want to see two hours of grunting men just battling it out. You might as well just watch UFC then.
