Ingredients:
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Shallot or Cooking Onion
1 Clove of Garlic
3 Sprigs of Thyme
1 Pinch of Oregano
1 Dried Chili (optional)
2 Cups of Chicken Stock
2/3 Cup of Orzo
1 Pinch of Salt
3 Pcs. Sun Dried Tomato
2 Leaves of Fresh Basil
Gruyere Cheese
Method:
1. Sweat chopped shallot and garlic in Olive Oil in a pot until transluscent.
2. Add thyme, oregano, chili, salt, chicken stock and chopped sun dried tomato to pot and bring to a full boil.
3. Add orzo and simmer uncovered for 8-10 minutes
4. Serve with grated gruyere and chopped basil leaves for garnish. |
